The specific employment conditions for this position are as follows:
- Fixed 36-hour work schedule, potentially up to 40 hours.
- Availability and flexibility required to cover replacement shifts.
- Possibility of overtime.
- Shift length: 12 hours (meal hours worked and paid).
- Salary: Depends on experience and qualifications.
- Uniform provided.
As a Security Guard at Rheinmetall Canada, your primary duty will be to control access to the building (staff, visitors, service providers, reserved parking spaces). More specifically, you will:
- Conduct building surveillance (patrols).
- Prepare incident reports.
- Answer and transfer phone calls received on the main line.
- Manage keys and access cards using the computer system.
- Record entries in security logs and forms.
- Provide first aid when necessary or activate the company's emergency response plan.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Security Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Essential requirements for this role:
- Hold a valid security guard license issued by the Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP).
- Hold a workplace first aid certification or be willing to complete the training after hire.
- Good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Able to work with computer tools such as Outlook and with our fire and access management software.
- Hold a valid driver's license.

Assets
- Experience in a military, police or industrial security environment is an asset.
- Fire prevention training.
- First responder training.
- Possess a firearms permit or be able to obtain one.
