Key responsibilities

  • Edit work instructions or manufacturing sequences intended for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components.
  • Interpret, verify and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department.
  • Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
  • Define tools required for manufacturing or assembling aircraft components to ensure required geometric tolerances.
  • Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working closely with engineering, material logistics, quality and production departments.
  • Actively support production by coordinating technical problem resolution with other support services.
  • Identify ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and participate in research and development projects.
  • Support the Central Methods team in carrying out their projects.
  • Update the Methods documentation structure, analyze SAP to identify needs and optimize production.
  • Eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Establish workforce, tooling, assembly, layout, ergonomics and health/safety requirements, tools and production equipment according to optimal methodology.
  • Participate in the development and optimization of processes related to the methods function.
  • Audit certain processes to validate their proper functioning and provide recommendations.
  • Manage short and/or medium duration and complexity projects.

Profile required

  • College or university degree in mechanical, avionics, electrical, industrial or electromechanical engineering, in aerospace manufacturing or a related discipline.
  • Comfortable reading technical drawings with good 3D visualization and analytical skills.
  • Good logical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA, AutoCAD, Enovia.
  • Familiarity with ERP software such as SAP.
  • Excellent team spirit; known for perseverance and good judgment.
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written) with a good command of English.
