We have several openings in aerostructures assembly to join our teams in Mirabel.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for structural installation, assembly and subassemblies of aircraft systems, parts and components within a project and/or assigned area.
- Use technical data and instructions provided by the customer or aircraft manufacturer.
- Use fixtures and position components from PVA, engineering drawings or other materials provided by the methods department.
- Read and interpret plans or manufacturing documentation.
- Adapt work to different types of assembly: large and small components.
- Set up and use machines and manual or automated tools as required by the work.
- Assemble metal and/or composite parts according to technical specifications provided by the customer.
- Install necessary fasteners; drill holes; ensure the correct products are used for assembly (bolts, driven or mechanical rivets, screws or accessories to fasten, support or suspend components and subassemblies).
- Ensure correct products are used for assembly (sealants, adhesives, corrosion protection, painting).
- Ensure assemblies conform to the manufacturing documentation.
- Inspect and verify installed units, parts and equipment to ensure suitability, performance and compliance with standards defined in the technical documentation.
- Adhere to quality standards and production rates.
- Follow health, safety and environmental standards.
- Report any anomalies or irregularities.
- Perform any other related duties.
Skills and qualifications
- Two years of experience as a structures assembler in the aerospace sector.
- Minimum Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) in aerostructures assembly or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity.
- Quick thinking and strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in French, spoken and written; English is an asset.
