Position summary
As an electrical assembler, you will perform assembly operations with the highest level of rigor and quality, following Airbus Atlantique and Bombardier standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform all operations in accordance with applicable health and safety rules
- Read, interpret and analyze electrical and mechanical plans and wiring diagrams from assembly manuals
- Install, assemble and secure wiring harnesses and electrical components on various supports (fasteners, structure, clamps, etc.) following technical documentation and mechanical drawings
- Ensure quality control of assembled sub-assemblies and wiring harnesses
- Participate in First Article Inspections (FAI) and review installation documentation with Quality, Methods and Production departments
- Ensure compliance with standards and production pace
- Verify work conformity using standard and specific processes defined in technical work documentation
- Record measurements and characteristics (tests, trials)
- Report any non-conformity according to company standards and any required changes to engineering drawings
- Know and apply the rules, procedures and processes for your operations and know where to find them
Profile required
- DEP in Cable and Circuit Assembly
- OR DEC or AEC in Avionics Technology
- Or a minimum of 5 years' experience as an aircraft electrical assembler
- Successful completion of a selection interview which may include a practical and/or theoretical technical test
Specific requirements
- Ability to read technical drawings; ideally familiar with Bombardier procedures
Skills and aptitudes
- Manual dexterity and solid technical knowledge to perform required operations
- Strong sense of rigor and quality required by the aerospace industry
- Able to work both in a team and independently; proactive
- Enjoy varied work and adapt positively to workplace changes
- Willingness to share knowledge and experience constructively
- Ability to listen to and apply instructions and take feedback constructively to develop skills
- Proficient in reading plans and specifications
- Knowledge of common aerospace manufacturing and special processes (heat treatments, non-destructive testing, surface conditioning, surface treatments)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual French/English (functional English to liaise with anglophone subcontractors)
- Skilled in using conventional measuring tools
- Knowledge of SAP, Net‑Inspect, PLM, BASL, EMCM is an asset
- Knowledge of CATIA or other 3D design software is an asset
