Job Summary
The Catering Inventory Coordinator, reporting to the Catering Inventory Specialist, is responsible for the daily operational inventory requirements for Porter's Dash 8 and E195-E2 fleet of aircraft. This position also assists in forecast planning, ordering, replenishment, receiving, timely shipping and monitoring the catering inventory at YTZ and all E195 hubs and outstations where required. This position also coordinates import and export of goods for catering operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Team
- Assist in developing and implementing catering inventory management with the Catering Inventory Specialist in conjunction with Catering Operations' internal Google Workspace systems and other systems.
- Assist the Catering Inventory Specialist in inventory training for Porter Catering, Porter Last Mile providers and Porter third-party caterers.
Financial
- Assist and maintain forecasting of Catering department needs, including all bespoke items, with the Catering Inventory Specialist.
- Accountable for stock movements to Porter Catering YTZ, Last Mile providers and third-party catering facilities.
- Initiate purchase orders and requisitions for Porter Catering YTZ, Last Mile providers and third-party catering facilities, including outstations for the Dash 8 fleet.
Other Duties
- Coordinate customs brokerage on inbound international shipments and shipments to the US, including duties and taxes.
- Receive and manage inbound receiving for Catering Operations.
- Assist in E195-E2 and Dash 8 system inventory replenishment through Catering Operations' in-house inventory control management (Google Workspace and other systems).
- Assist with product development where required.
- Maintain stocking standards for efficient forecasting and replenishment.
- Maintain direct and fulfillment deadlines to all catering stations.
- Manage external correspondence with suppliers, third-party catering kitchens, last mile providers and outstations where required.
- Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply with and promote the company safety policy.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of airline catering with an inventory management background with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of import and export customs brokerage preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and hold required security clearances.
- Must be able to drive a forklift and pass the Porter-accredited forklift training session.
- Previous experience required in handling numerous responsibilities and prioritizing workloads.
- Ability to troubleshoot areas that may impede forward progress.
- Knowledge of food safety and inflight catering protocols.
- Must be able to work airport operational hours and rotating shifts when required.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Energetic and a self-starter.
- Computer skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays as demand requires.
- Ability to travel.
