Responsibilities
- Write, validate and correct assembly instructions or manufacturing routings intended for the fabrication or assembly of aircraft components.
- Interpret drawings and other documents from the engineering department.
- Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
- Define the tools required for fabrication or assembly of aircraft components to ensure required geometric tolerances.
- Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working closely with engineering, material logistics, quality and production departments.
- Play an active role in production support by coordinating the resolution of technical problems with other support services.
- Identify opportunities to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and participate in research and development projects.
Required Profile
- College or university diploma in mechanical, avionics, electrical, industrial or electromechanical engineering, in aeronautical manufacturing, or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related discipline.
- Comfortable reading technical drawings, good 3D visualization and strong analytical skills.
- Good logical and mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA, AutoCAD, ENOVIA.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as BAAN, SAP.
- Basic experience in continuous improvement project management.
- Excellent team spirit; known for perseverance and good judgment.
- Fluent in French (spoken and written) and good knowledge of English.
