Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and independent Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at a new warehouse. As the first person on site, you will be responsible for the initial layout, establishing processes and the daily management of inventory and logistics activities with a small team (2–3 people).
Your Role — Warehouse Management
You will structure, organize and supervise all warehouse activities to ensure an efficient, safe environment aligned with the company's production and shipping needs. You will play a key role in setting up processes and driving continuous improvement of logistics operations.
Responsibilities
Warehouse setup and organization
- Define the physical layout of the warehouse to optimize receiving, storage and shipping.
- Implement labeling, racking and workflow systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment compliant with applicable standards.
Inventory and materials handling
- Receive raw materials, verify documentation and record entries in the system.
- Store materials in an organized manner and maintain accurate, up-to-date inventories.
- Prepare materials for production according to daily needs.
- Manage storage of finished products and maintain required inventory levels.
Shipping and outbound operations
- Prepare shipments: packing, labeling, documentation.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers.
Operational efficiency
- Identify, recommend and implement improvements in warehouse processes.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements
Education and experience
- Relevant experience in warehouse management, logistics or inventory control.
- Interest in managing a small team.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of a new operational environment.
Key skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Autonomy, sense of responsibility and initiative.
- Ability to use inventory or warehouse management software (WMS).
- Communication and collaboration skills.
- Forklift experience or certification — an asset.
- Fluent French; functional English.
