Safran Landing Systems is part of the Safran group. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. The site features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot blasting and surface treatments.
The manager is responsible for all operations of a value chain to ensure performance in delivery, production, efficiency, quality and health, safety and environment (HSE). They supervise methods agents and production employees in the finishing department (blasting, plating, painting and finishing grinding).
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Delegate tasks and decisions to the team according to their capabilities to promote engagement with team objectives and autonomy
- Guide and assist the team to solve problems and make decisions simply and effectively
- Put everything in place to ensure execution of the production plan to meet deliveries
- Identify and anticipate problem situations and obtain support from a resource person to resolve them (maintenance, quality, HR, etc.)
- Facilitate necessary changes to adapt to new realities
Production
- With the Planning team, monitor the production plan and adjust as needed to meet objectives
- Ensure availability and optimization of resources to promote workforce efficiency
- Manage workforce movements to ensure optimal cross-skilling of production employees in the area
Human Resources
- Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures and policies, including the collective agreement
- Ensure development of team members' skills according to established processes and policies
Health, Safety & Environment
- With HSE teams, conduct awareness activities and ensure rules and policies are applied within the area
- Participate in accident/event investigations
- Ensure completion of inspections, analyses and associated action plans (e.g. 5S, IGP, ergonomics, occupational safety, ...)
Quality
- With quality teams, raise operators' awareness of quality (internal and external)
- Ensure the momentum and performance of operational problem resolutions (RPO / 8D)
- Ensure achievement of quality objectives and performance for the area (e.g. NC, rework, scrap, complaints...)

Requirements
- Relevant university degree or equivalent experience
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
