Summary

The apprentice mechanic reports to the chief mechanic to carry out tasks related to the maintenance of aircraft and equipment as required.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Execaire's safety policy.
  • Assist designated engineers, upon request, with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Assist the on-call crew with maintenance tasks for transient aircraft.
  • Maintain all hangar equipment and provide details on equipment maintenance to ensure the hangar equipment log is kept up to date.
  • Refuel company vehicles daily.
  • Help maintain hangar cleanliness upon request.
  • Perform work under the supervision of a certified AME on behalf of the maintenance manager.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Secondary V.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Technician course from a Transport Canada–approved institution.
  • 0–2 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Prior aviation experience outside of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician course is an asset.
