Job Description
We are looking for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic specialized in In-Service Support (ISS) to contribute to maintaining the operational condition of military vehicles and specialized equipment.
Your role — ISS mission
You will ensure the maintenance, reliability and performance of military vehicles and specialized equipment throughout their life cycle. You will directly contribute to the operational availability of systems and to the continuous improvement of maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
Maintenance and technical support
- Perform technical work on heavy military trucks, specialized equipment and components
- Diagnose, inspect and repair systems according to military standards and specifications
- Ensure the operational readiness (MCO) of equipment
- Conduct road tests and performance validations
- Carry out preventive and corrective inspections
Logistics support and lifecycle management
- Participate in handling, logistics and inventory management activities
- Contribute to configuration management and equipment traceability
- Participate in receiving, shipping and tracking of parts
- Contribute to maintaining technical documentation and intervention reports
Continuous improvement and collaboration
- Participate in projects to improve maintenance and support processes
- Document technical analyses and recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, logistics, operations)
- Take part in training activities and knowledge transfer
Profile / Requirements
Education and experience
- Vocational diploma (DEP) in heavy vehicle mechanics or construction equipment mechanics (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle mechanics
- Experience in a military environment or with specialized fleets (e.g., Renault Kerax) — strong asset
- Class 3 driver's license — asset
