Safran Landing Systems (Safran Systèmes d'Atterrissage) is a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.
The role consists of cleaning part surfaces by sandblasting either to remove the oxide layer produced during heat treatment prior to subsequent machining operations, or to prepare parts before plating to ensure good adhesion.
Responsibilities
- Move parts using lifting equipment.
- Mount the part on a fixture and prepare it by installing various masks or tooling, in accordance with technical drawings.
- Perform sandblasting operations using equipment equipped with a robot, following technical procedures.
- Finish sandblasting using specialized manual equipment while respecting process parameters.
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation.
- Perform daily basic maintenance of equipment.
- Carry out sand analyses (granulometry).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operations and the achievement of objectives in terms of safety, quality and cost.
Benefits and specifics
Night shift: 00:10 to 06:40. Note: depending on collective agreement rules, the position may require different shifts (day, evening or weekend).
- Starting pay ranges from $26.91 to $36.59 per hour depending on skills, experience and qualifications; hourly rate can increase up to $40.62 with internal training and skills development.
- $1/hour premium.

About you / Requirements
- High school diploma (equivalency certificate not accepted).
- Manual work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work with care and precision.
- Experience with automated equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Rigour, organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Autonomy.
- Ability to work fully encapsulated (full suit including helmet with oxygen supply).
- Manual tasks require a certain level of physical strength.
