What your day will look like
- Perform operational tasks ranging from simple to complex to manufacture, modify and repair a wide variety of tooling and gauges with varying shapes and geometries.
- Work from drawings, photos, sketches and verbal instructions regarding methods and equipment to set up, operate and adjust conventional or CNC machine tools to machine and repair new and used jigs and gauges.
- Plan the work to be performed by machinists on different types of machines.
- Manufacture molds; mix and pour products.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts using precision measuring instruments and maintain appropriate records.
- Maintain inventories of critical items for the repair of gauges and fixtures.
- Participate in the development of new tools to meet customer needs.
- Help resolve issues encountered on production lines by improving tooling in collaboration with planners and designers.
- Clean, preserve, package and move parts, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
- Perform maintenance routines to ensure, among other things, that fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean and the overall condition of the machine conforms to the checklist.
- Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates.
- Organize and keep your workstation in order and always uphold our high standards for health and safety at work.

- This position is located in a French-speaking work environment; however, a basic knowledge of English is required to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.
Education
- DEP in Machining Techniques
- ASP in CNC Machining or ASP in Tooling
Asset
- Knowledge of CATIA software
