Job Description

Main Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering drawings and 3D models
• Fabricate templates, fixtures, cutting tools and positioning devices
• Machine parts on conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling machine, grinder)
• Perform assembly, precision fitting and functional testing
• Repair and modify existing tooling according to production needs
• Ensure preventive maintenance of tools and equipment
• Adhere to tight tolerances and aerospace standards
• Apply HSE rules and quality procedures (AS9100, ISO)
• Participate in continuous process improvement

Requirements / Desired Profile

• Diploma in machining techniques, toolmaking or equivalent training
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace experience is a major asset)
• Strong ability to read complex drawings
• Good knowledge of geometric tolerances (GD&T)
• Ability to work with materials such as aluminum, steel and titanium
• Rigour, precision and autonomy
• Team spirit and ability to solve technical problems

Technical Skills

• Conventional and CNC machining
• Precision fitting
• Metrology (micrometer, dial gauge, CMM)
• Knowledge of aerospace processes (structural assembly, composites - an asset)
