The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a PMBP (Project Management Business Partner) - Chief Engineer to join our Program / Project Management for Development Projects team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the Chief Engineering team dedicated to a major modification of the A220.
You will be part of the team responsible for bringing project management expertise into other Airbus Canada functions. The team is organized to promote autonomous cross-collaboration, mutual support and collective learning.
Your role as PMBP - Chief Engineer will be to act as the strategic partner to the Chief Engineer team in their responsibilities for project Time, Cost, Quality and Performance and to guide the Chief Engineer team through the Product Development Plan (PDP) process.

Your challenges
Establishing and optimizing governance: design, implement and maintain the cadence of aircraft-related reviews and decision-making bodies for the variant (including in-depth technical analysis and the PDP).
Monitor actions, decisions and technical obstacles identified during governance meetings.
Implement KPIs and progress reports: develop and maintain dashboards to provide clear visibility into aircraft status, progress and performance indicators for the Chief Engineer.
Manage risks and opportunities: ensure Chief Engineering risks are quantified, mitigated and tracked.
Manage feedback/lessons learned: ensure traceability and follow-up of implementation.
Deliverable coordination and technical integration: coordinate and ensure timely delivery of aircraft-related engineering deliverables under the Chief Engineer's responsibility (e.g., EBD, requirements) and deliverables from cross-functional areas.
Contribute to integrated planning: synthesize technical inputs, engineering constraints and maturity milestones to help develop and update the integrated master plan.
Configuration and change management support: liaise with configuration management to ensure consistency with evolving aircraft configuration and help maintain configuration control throughout its lifecycle.
Financial and resource management: manage operational and expenditure budgets for the Chief Engineer organization, support AOP/FC activities, forecast senior engineering resource needs, and optimize staffing by tracking hours and statements of work against deliverables.
Your boarding pass
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering or equivalent.
Strong leadership qualities and a high level of influence.
Minimum 5 years' experience in project or program management.
Solid understanding of aeronautical project development (Engineering).
Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
Open-minded with strong interpersonal skills and proven teamwork ability.
Organized, excellent time management and self-motivated.
Experience and interest in the aeronautics industry is desirable.
Comfortable communicating in both French and English, orally and in writing.
Advanced skills with Google Workspace and Planisware.
This job requires awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.
