As a member of the software engineering staff working as an Agile on-the-job trainer/practitioner, you will support cross-functional engineering teams — including software, systems, test and related disciplines — to strengthen their Agile practices and improve planning, delivery and collaboration. You will act as an on-the-job trainer for Scrum Masters, product owners, team leads and engineers to refine ceremonies, increase delivery predictability and adopt effective Agile techniques. This role emphasizes practical on-the-job training, mentoring, facilitation and hands-on coaching aligned with real engineering workflows. A background in software engineering is valuable to understand technical complexities and team dynamics; however, you are not expected to perform engineering tasks in this role.
What you bring

- At least nine years of practical Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework [SAFe] or similar)
- Strong software engineering background to credibly coach technical teams and cross-functional engineering groups
- Experience delivering on-the-job training across engineering roles, including systems, test and project management
- Excellent facilitation, communication and coaching skills with a broad range of stakeholders
- Proven ability to help teams improve planning, execution, flow and collaboration
- Experience with Jira, Confluence and Agile lifecycle management tools
- Pragmatic, contextual approach to Agile that fits into complex program environments
Additional desired skills
- Experience as a Scrum Master, product owner or technical team lead
- Comfort with program-level planning, integration points and cross-discipline coordination
- Experience coaching mid-level leaders (e.g. integrated product team leads, control account managers or cross-functional leads)
- Exposure to large-scale Agile frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS
- Agile certifications such as ICAgile, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or equivalent
- Familiarity with systems engineering practices, testing activities and modern engineering workflows (e.g. DevSecOps, continuous integration/delivery/deployment, model-based systems engineering)

The role requires daily communication with a virtual team outside Quebec and with organization members, clients and vendors located outside Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or modify technical documents from our primary clients and draft technical documents for those clients.
