About your future mission

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran and a world leader in landing gear and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models and the Boeing 787. The facility uses state‑of‑the‑art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.

The polisher's job consists of deburring (rounding) the edges of the part, which is a primary landing gear component, to prevent cracks from forming during heat treatment (high‑temperature heating). The polisher also gives the part its final dimensions by polishing to obtain very precise radii and diameters. This operation is performed using manual pneumatic tools or a robot. The polisher is also responsible for inspecting parts.

Benefits and specifics

• Evening shift: Monday to Thursday from 14:20 to 00:20.
• Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the position may rotate to different shifts (day, evening, night or weekend).
• Starting pay ranges from $26.91 to $36.59 per hour depending on skills, experience and qualifications. With internal training and progression, hourly pay can increase up to a maximum of $40.62.
• Shift premium of $1.30/hour.

About you / Requirements

• Manual work experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Interest in finishing work.
• Attention to detail and rigor.
• Good powers of observation.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Autonomy.
• Blueprint/technical drawing reading skills: an asset.
• Minimum education: CAP, BEP.
• Minimum experience required: more than 3 years.
• Languages: French (Fluent).
