Job Description

You have technical experience with aircraft structures, have worked as a structural assembler or a methods agent, and want to grow and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Service Bulletin Writer - Mechanical Structure to join our Technical Publications team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

Your challenges

  • Review and approve design and RSI changes to ensure in-service feasibility;
  • Write and edit Service Bulletins for complex inspections and modifications;
  • Propose engineering changes to minimize in-service impacts;
  • Write Service Bulletins using the Simplified Technical English style;
  • Validate Service Bulletins at operators or authorized service centers;
  • Review suppliers' Service Bulletins;
  • Request tools and approve tool concept proposals;
  • Create and approve parts lists for kits and associated delivery documentation;
  • Validate and incorporate feedback from aviation authorities;
  • Create Advance Order Material for urgent Service Bulletins.

Requirements

  • College diploma in aircraft maintenance/airframe construction and five (5) years of aviation experience (e.g., technician, methods agent or technical writer);
  • Good knowledge of aircraft systems and structures;
  • Proficiency in CATIA, S1000D, SAP, Microsoft Office and Google Suite;
  • Team player, responsible, strong communicator and negotiator;
  • Ability to manage stress and to drive other departments to meet deadlines;
  • Customer-oriented and able to interact in French and English (written and spoken);
  • Strong command of written English.
