The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Maintenance Program Manager to join our Maintenance program management team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with various Airbus teams such as but not limited to the Airframe structure & System Design engineering team, the In-Service repair engineering team, the A220 program office team and the Airworthiness, reliability & safety teams.
You will be part of the Maintenance program management team, directly reporting to the Head of Maintenance program management. You will be responsible for developing a consistent and cost effective maintenance program of new airframe structure and/or system designs or improvements of the latter on the A220 commercial aircraft Programme.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your strategic role as Maintenance Program Manager will be to ensure the optimization and delivery of maintenance programs for our current aircraft, while also playing a key part in the development of programs for future aircraft. You will be at the heart of synchronizing scheduled maintenance documentation and its continuous improvement. You will also be a major player in defining the fundamental principles of future maintenance programs, working closely with various internal and external stakeholders.

Your challenges
- Co-chairing the A220 Industry Steering Committee (ISC).
- Defining, scheduling, preparing and coordinating the ISC forum with operators, suppliers, airworthiness authorities, Airbus Maintenance program management team and other Airbus departments.
- Controlling the flow and level of discussions on any given topic during the ISC forum.
- Preparing the Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR) proposal for submission to the airworthiness authorities.
- Arranging aircraft familiarization and MSG-3 analysis procedural training for all Maintenance Working Groups (MWG) and the ISC.
- Ensuring effective and efficient communication between the MWG, the ISC and the Maintenance Review Board (MRB).
- Monitoring MWG activities to ensure alignment with ISC decisions in coordination with MWG co-chairpersons.
- Maintaining regular communication with MRB chairpersons (airworthiness authorities) to secure the success of MWG and ISC forums.
- Arranging, preparing and coordinating periodic reviews with MRB chairpersons.
- Coordinating with maintenance engineering experts to identify, prepare and present at the ISC forum any maintenance program policies, regulations and procedures updates in the Policy and Procedure Handbook (PPH) and their impacts on the maintenance program.
- Ensuring the synchronization, consistency and completeness of the maintenance engineering Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs): MRBR - AWL - CMP - MPD including the complete set of maintenance procedures (AMP and NDT).
- Supporting the risk management and mitigation actions for ICA completeness.
- Overseeing continuous monitoring of design changes (including future program development), in-service issues impact and new technologies/regulations/policies impacts on maintenance engineering ICAs to ensure constant update and improvement.
- Ensuring deliverables are produced on time and in accordance with guidelines.
- Monitoring adherence to maintenance program processes with the support of the Head of Maintenance program management.
- Supporting MWG preparation (e.g. dry runs) upon request of MWG co-chairpersons or Head of Maintenance program management.
- Participating in and supporting any meeting with A220 customers related to maintenance program topics.
- Attending Airbus MPM meetings with other Airbus legacy program Maintenance Program Managers to ensure consistency across all Airbus programs.
- Contributing to chargeable services related to scheduled maintenance (e.g. Clock Reset Package preparation and Clock Reset Statement support).
Your boarding pass (requirements)
- Graduated with an engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in commercial aircraft maintenance, airline/MRO operations, and the maintenance environment.
- Sound knowledge in aircraft structure & systems (experience on different ATA chapters & sections on commercial aircraft).
- Strong project management skills and mindset - PM certification is a plus.
- Highly customer-focused, quick learner, adaptive and a team player.
- Excellent presentation skills and professional demeanour.
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, partners, airworthiness authorities and other Airbus departments.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience working in a transnational environment.
- Good general knowledge in maintenance engineering concepts including system, powerplant, structure, zonal, EWIS and L/HIRF and applicable continuous airworthiness regulation for modern civil aircraft.
- Proficiency in standard Google suite tools mandatory for the job. Comfortable with digital solutions.
- Minimum language skills: negotiation level of English, beginner level of French.
As this position requires regular business trips, you must be available and willing to fulfill these travel commitments.
