The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Flight Test Engineering Specialist to join our team at the Mirabel Test Centre (Quebec, Canada). You may also have the opportunity to collaborate with the team at the Airbus Toulouse Test Centre.
You will be part of the Test and Analysis team, responsible for coordinating all activities related to test preparation, test execution support, and results analysis. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
As a Flight Test Specialist in Engineering at Airbus Canada, you will play a crucial role in the development and certification of our aircraft. You will be responsible for the planning, execution and analysis of flight test campaigns, ensuring the integrity and performance of the aircraft's various systems.

Your challenges
Technical planning of flight tests and integration: develop a test strategy and refine objectives, configuration, and test procedures in detail to meet verification and validation requirements as efficiently as possible.
Instrumentation and data acquisition: specify instrumentation requirements, control the validation of sensors and other recording and visualization systems to ensure data acquisition meets expectations.
Execution of systems integration tests: verify the proper functioning of the aircraft's various systems in a flight environment. Identify and troubleshoot integration problems with flight crews, mechanics, and design teams.
Data analysis and reporting: analyze, interpret, and document results and observations, and synthesize conclusions and recommendations for relevant specialists, the A220 management team, and regulatory aviation authorities.
Your boarding pass
Master's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
Analytical and rigorous, with solid technical experience in an aerospace or high-tech engineering environment: excellent general understanding of all aircraft systems of an A220 and associated development and certification regulations.
Experience in operational aviation including regulatory constraints related to aircraft and crew preparation before flight; proficiency in a cockpit environment, ideally in an experimental flight context.
Capable of acting as a project leader: proactively anticipate risks and work independently regardless of the nature of challenges and potential stakeholders (airport, authorities, suppliers, partners, etc.).
Curious and enthusiastic, fostering a strong team spirit with multidisciplinary teams including design engineers, pilots, and technicians.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in French and English.
Travel required: <5% national and international travel.
Possibility of very occasional on-call duty (a few times a year) during weekends and/or holiday periods, depending on the test campaigns.
