Finishing Technician / Painter

AAA Canada is seeking a Painter to bring expertise to our team. Reporting to the production supervisor, the painter is responsible for preparing, applying and finishing paint on aircraft and their components in accordance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan the work: prepare the area, materials and equipment.
• Clean, sand, polish and prepare surfaces before application.
• Mask and apply paint coatings according to specifications.
• Perform necessary touch-ups and ensure the quality of the finished product.
• Keep records of work performed and maintain equipment.

Skills and qualifications

• Trade certificates such as AEP in Industrial Painting, DEP in Bodywork, DEC in Aerospace Painting, or equivalent accelerated training.
• Experience in industrial or aerospace painting (asset).
• Meticulousness, precision, good reflexes and excellent concentration.
• Ability to distinguish colors, finishes and textures and to notice finishing details.
• Good visual perception to analyze technical drawings and surfaces.
• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work at heights (manlift).
• Strict adherence to safety standards, procedures and regulations.
• Bilingualism (French - English) in spoken and written form is an important asset for communication in the client's multilingual environment and for technical documentation.
