Main responsibilities
- Perform inspections according to priorities and required sampling.
- Use tools and gauges as needed for component inspection.
- Perform transfers in the ERP system.
- Inspect according to the points and elements on inspection plans and participate as needed in meetings and interventions with suppliers.
- Define and maintain visual inspection criteria and standards for our products.
- Continuously keep the inspection area immaculate.
- Actively participate in team meetings.
- Calibrate measuring equipment.
Approval of new components
- Validate approval parts.
- Keep the register and inventory of approved parts up to date.
Handling, analysis and correction of non‑conformities
- Ensure non‑conformity reports are completed properly.
- Document and communicate non‑conformities to suppliers.
- Create engineering change requests when required.
Quality management system
- Ensure compliance with processes and procedures by performing audits.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the department and the company.
Profile
- DEC in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Solid experience in manufacturing quality control.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong investigation, analysis and synthesis skills.
- Good knowledge of reading technical drawing plans.
- Good judgment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good priority and stress management.
- Structured, organized and rigorous.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to make and assume decisions.
- Ability to communicate in spoken and written English (asset).
- Experience with CNC, CMM, welding (asset).
- Knowledge of structured problem‑solving methods (8D, A3, 5 Whys, Ishikawa/5M, etc.).
