The successful candidate will contribute to the program as a member of our team responsible for integration, test, and evaluation of product lines:
- Develop a computer verification and validation program for Command and Control (C2) products
- Develop computer test and trial systems for Lockheed Martin's scope of supply, including commissioning, on-board integration testing, harbour acceptance testing, sea acceptance testing, and operational test and evaluation
- Support planning and execution activities that lead to the initial and final acceptance of each Canadian surface combatant for Lockheed Martin's computer scope of supply
- Identify and resolve computer-level integration issues so that priority defects are fixed to meet test schedules
- Identify and resolve system problem reports so that priority defects are fixed to meet test schedules
- Review and analyze test results and report findings, as appropriate, for integration and operational tests
- Report to the ship test and trials team lead
- Perform computer regression testing for all delivered versions of the command management system
- Coordinate with other technical domain leads, including security, cybersecurity, and human systems integration, to ensure test completeness
- Respond to issues discovered on ships, including performing targeted tests and determining remediation paths
- Support configuration management of all combat systems installed on ships within Lockheed Martin's scope of supply
- Lead subsystem computer regression testing on delivered subsystems, providing recommendations for acceptance and subsequent deployment to ships

Planning:
- Ensure combat system equipment is correctly configured for each test
- Coordinate the test design team in data collection and analysis for summary reports, isolation, and problem resolution
- Ensure defects are recorded using the problem reporting process
- Support customer familiarization with equipment, maintenance, and combat system operations
- Support ongoing ship schedule management by understanding program usage priorities
- Work closely with other integrated product teams to effectively manage and coordinate build and test dates
Reporting:
- Report in real time to management any issues that impact planned test events
- Maintain current parameters for problem reporting
- Attend daily meetings to report on major issues
Required skills, abilities and experience
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline and two years' experience, or a Master's degree in a related engineering discipline
- Willingness to work team schedules, including evenings and weekends as required
- Ability to solve complex problems within a team
- High degree of initiative and autonomy
- Ability to obtain NATO Secret security clearance
Additional desired skills for the role
- Experience integrating and testing various shipboard combat systems
- Experience with IBM DOORS considered an asset
- Experience with networks and networked tools considered an asset
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodology considered an asset
- Good knowledge of software development and testing
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Good knowledge of Linux
- White Hat certification
- Valid NATO Secret security clearance considered an asset

Salary range
$77,500 - $101,500
